Welcome to The Dark Descent, a community for all fans of Frictional Games' titles!
The purpose of this community is to share our love of our favourite games and characters and meet like-minded people. Theories, discussion, fan art and fanfic are all accepted and encouraged here.
RULES:
No trolling, flaming or drama. Be nice to others.
Members are allowed to make posts.
Please introduce yourself in the 'Introductions' post!
All ships/pairings are welcome, ship hate won't be tolerated.
Mature content, kinks and blood/gore are accepted - this is a horror game community, after all - but please use relevant warnings/triggers and place nsfw content under a cut.
If you see something that you don't like, keep scrolling and move on to other posts. Remember: don't like? Don't look.
Posting fanfic:
Fanfic is absolutely welcomed here, as long as you follow the rules.
Include the title of your fic in the post title and place the fandom in brackets. For example: Human Heart (SOMA)
Use the following template when posting and place it on top of your post. Modifications are ok if something doesn't apply or you want to add something, as long as you give some basic information about your work.

Pairing(s): (if applicable)
Rating: (general audiences, teen and up, mature, explicit)
Keywords/tags: (for example: alternate universe, torture, manipulation... potential warnings would also go here)

Description:
Description can also be a short excerpt from your fic, but please keep it short (max. 100 words).
Place the actual fic under a cut - you can also just provide a link to your fic if it has been posted elsewhere, for example on AO3.

Don't post huge images (preferably below 800px in height and width).
